Our Story

Starting in 2021, the Sisterhood Connection Foundation received a house that was kindly donated by Don and Eileen Riffel to serve as SCF headquarters. The house is located on Mingus Ave next to Main Stage. Much was needed to be done in the remodeling of the headquarters. With the kindness of the Why Not Foundation, SCF received funds to do the project. The first thing on our list was to apply for a permit from the city, and once we received it we rolled up our sleeves by knocking down walls, demoing a kitchen and bathroom, painting inside and out, stucco the entire exterior, an incredible back porch (beautifully built by Don Riffel), repair of the front porch, lighting (thank you Jacks Electric LLC) and plumbing (thank you Alan), yard clean up (thank you Steve Rench) and graveled the lot (thank you, Donny Calvert).

We are so grateful to the Riffel’s for not only donating the home for our headquarters but working diligently on the home with many heartfelt hours.
